The leading role in the training of education seekers, according to the State Standard of General Secondary Education, Professional Advancement Education Standards, and Higher Education Standards, is played by the cycle commissions and departments that are part of the vocational college's management structure.
The educational process of the vocational college for the preparation of professionals at various educational levels involves the required number of teachers, whose main place of work is the Department of Vocational Training and Professional Education at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University (VNU). General information about the staffing of educational activities is provided on the official pages of the cycle commissions and departments. The educational process is supported by highly qualified specialists (55.2%), specialists of the first qualification category (10.3%), specialists of the second qualification category (20.7%), and specialists (13.8%), including 2 doctors of science, 11 candidates of sciences (Ph.D.), 12 teacher-methodologists, and 13 teachers with the pedagogical title of "senior lecturer."
The vocational college is fully staffed with employees in a quantity no less than specified by the Typical Staffing Norms for Higher Education Institutions of Levels I-II Accreditation, taking into account the Staffing Table of the Department of Vocational Training and Professional Education at Lesya Ukrainka VNU for 2021, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Vacancies for teaching positions are announced on the official website of the educational institution in the respective section.
The qualitative characteristics of the teaching staff involved in the educational process of the vocational college comply with the License Conditions for Educational Activities (approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 30, 2015, No. 1187, as amended by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 24, 2021, No. 365). All teachers have a higher education degree (or professional teacher qualification) that corresponds to the educational components they teach. The correspondence of the teacher's specialty to the disciplines taught is determined in accordance with documents on higher education (or academic degree), practical work experience in the relevant specialty of no less than five years, and at least 72 hours of professional development.
The professional development of teachers is carried out in higher education institutions, institutes of postgraduate pedagogical education, as well as through internships in organizations, institutions, and establishments with subsequent recognition by the pedagogical council of the Department of Vocational Training and Professional Education at Lesya Ukrainka VNU. The frequency and conditions of professional development comply with the Procedure for the Professional Development of Pedagogical and Scientific-Pedagogical Workers (approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated September 21, 2019, No. 800), taking into account changes introduced to this procedure by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 27, 2019, No. 1133.
In accordance with the Procedure for Medical Examinations of Certain Categories of Workers (approved by the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated May 21, 2007, No. 246), all employees of the vocational college have undergone preventive medical examinations, which are reflected in their personal medical records stored at the vocational college's medical center.
