Rights and Responsibilities of Employees

 

The employees of the Professional College include:

  1. Pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical staff
  2. Engineering and technical staff
  3. Other employees

The rights, duties, and labor guarantees of the college employees are determined by the Labor Code of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine on Education, the Law of Ukraine on Vocational Postgraduate Education, the Founding Documents of the vocational college, the Internal Labor Regulations, the Collective Agreement, and job instructions.

Pedagogical staff at the vocational college engage in educational, methodological, innovative, and organizational activities related to the provision of educational services. The main positions of pedagogical staff at the vocational college are: college director, deputy director directly involved in the educational process, department head, head of the subject cycle commission, lecturer, senior lecturer, methodologist, head of educational production practice, physical education instructor, head of the educational-methodical office, and master of vocational training.

The working hours of pedagogical staff at the vocational college are determined by the volume of their educational, methodological, innovative, organizational work, and other pedagogical activities specified in the employment contract. The working hours of pedagogical staff should not exceed 36 hours per week (reduced working hours).

The teaching workload for one full-time teaching position at the vocational college is 720 hours per academic year. The volume of time for methodological, innovative, organizational work, and other pedagogical activities of pedagogical staff is determined by the vocational college.

The main rights of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical staff are:

  1. Academic freedom, pedagogical initiative, development, and implementation of authoring educational programs, projects, educational methodologies and technologies, methods, and tools.
  2. Professional development and retraining.
  3. Recognition of achievements, fair and objective assessment of their professional activities.
  4. Protection of professional honor, dignity, and protection against any form of violence, exploitation, including bullying, discrimination based on any characteristic, and promotion and propaganda that harm health.
  5. Individual educational (scientific, creative, artistic, etc.) activities outside the educational institution.
  6. Participation in self-governance and work of collegial management bodies of the vocational college.
  7. Other rights determined by Article 54 of the Law of Ukraine on Education and Article 61 of the Law of Ukraine on Vocational Postgraduate Education.

Pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical staff are obliged to:

  1. Continuously improve their professional and general cultural level and pedagogical skills.
  2. Implement educational and educational-professional programs to achieve the learning outcomes envisaged for vocational postgraduate education.
  3. Contribute to the development of the abilities of vocational postgraduate education learners, formation of healthy lifestyle skills, and take care of their physical and mental health.
  4. Adhere to academic honesty and ensure its compliance by vocational postgraduate education learners in the educational process and scientific activities.
  5. Observe pedagogical ethics.
  6. Respect the dignity, rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of all participants in the educational process.
  7. Promote respect for social morality and values, including truth, justice, patriotism, humanism, tolerance, and industriousness, through guidance and personal example.
  8. Instill in vocational postgraduate education learners an understanding of the need to comply with the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
  9. Foster in vocational postgraduate education learners respect for the state language and national symbols of Ukraine, national, historical, and cultural values of Ukraine, and care for the historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine and the surrounding natural environment.
  10. Fostering in students a commitment to mutual understanding, peace, and harmony among all nations, ethnic, national, and religious groups.
  11. Protecting students during the educational process from any form of physical and psychological violence, humiliation of honor and dignity, discrimination based on any characteristic, as well as preventing the consumption of alcoholic beverages, narcotic substances, and other harmful habits on the premises of educational institutions, which may harm students' health.
  12. Adhering to the founding documents and internal regulations of the vocational college, fulfilling their official duties.
  13. Reporting to the management of the vocational college any cases of bullying or harassment against students, educational, scientific and pedagogical staff, and other individuals involved in the educational process, taking immediate measures to stop bullying.
  14. Other general obligations as determined by Article 54 of the Law of Ukraine on Education and Article 62 of the Law of Ukraine on Vocational Education.
