The Deputy Director for Educational Affairs is a key member of the college's administration, serving on the board of directors and various committees including pedagogical, methodological, administrative, scholarship, certification, and personnel committees. Their responsibilities include providing leadership and overseeing the process of national and civic education for students, ensuring that the college's educational programs align with the national education system's Concept of Education for Children and Youth and the Conceptual Foundations of Humanitarian Education.
The functional duties:
- Performs organizational, methodological, and administrative functions related to humanitarian education and upbringing.
- Establishes and ensures the functioning of a system of educational work in the professional college.
- Manages the activities of the teaching and student communities on national-civil education.
- Ensures cooperation between the teaching and student communities of the professional college on national-patriotic education.
- Organizes joint work between the college community and social institutions on national-civil education.
- Manages the work of academic group leaders, practical psychologists, and librarians (in terms of educational work).
- Selects leaders of academic groups, student organizations, and artistic self-expression clubs.
- Organizes, together with the methodological association of group leaders and the city center for social research, the training of academic group leaders by conducting scientific-methodological, psychological-pedagogical seminars, and conferences on issues of national-civil education of student youth.
- Organizes and controls the methodological association of group leaders, which studies, summarizes, and disseminates the best practices of organizing the educational process in groups, departments, etc. in the professional college and the region.
- Coordinates the educational process in the college, carried out by department heads, cycle commissions, academic group leaders, student self-government bodies in groups, departments, and courses.
- Ensures the organization and development of plans for holding events aimed at students' acquisition of scientific and cultural achievements of world civilization, knowledge of national history, traditions, customs, language, and culture.
- Provides assistance to young academic group leaders, attends educational events, and participates in mentoring.
- Controls students' discipline and makes suggestions for its improvement.
- Controls the quality of teachers' work, the organization of the educational process, and the implementation of educational programs.
- Conducts quality control of the work of teachers, organization, and implementation of educational, developmental, and cultural activities, physical education, and health status.
- Holds operational meetings with heads of departments and other managers of structural units and staff of the vocational college on educational work issues.
- Directs and facilitates the effective functioning of the student self-government bodies of the educational institution, participating in its work.
- Provides favorable conditions for the formation of an optimal socio-psychological climate, free self-determination and self-assertion of students, and for the realization of their talents and abilities.
- Involves scientists, legal experts, cultural figures, specialists from other fields to participate in the preparation of students for future activities.
- Involves state institutions, public and youth organizations, cultural and educational institutions, foreign representations, administrative bodies, medical and narcological services, etc. to cooperate on issues related to the organization of the educational process.
- Coordinates cooperation with parents of students.
- Complies with safety and hygiene technical rules, regulations, and instructions, as well as labor legislation, Collective Agreement, Rules of Internal Labor Regulations.
